William's conversion story
William was prepared by the hand of the Lord. Nearly five years ago he went through some hard times. It began with his wife leaving him and escalated with the tragic death of his son. He was beaten down and his church of 37 years was not easing his anguish.
Then one day a year to two later his neighbor received an odd magazine in the mail. It was a religious magazine that she had no interest in, and so she decided to give it to her struggling neighbor, William. The magazine taught him about the Prophet Joseph Smith and about Mormon Crickets. He loved it and it brought peace to his soul.
A few years later we knocked on his door and taught him the message of the Restoration. He was baptized two weeks later. The Lord prepared him to receive His gospel and to join His Church. -Elders Bowles and Cowan
